The Shot Card Club was formed on or around April 17, 1996 (the earliest recorded Shot Card hit), and was finally put to rest on May 29, 1997. It was a collective effort to show that someone could (or that noone could) finish the entire shot list at the Smiling Moose restaurant at Calhoun Square in Minneapolis. The shot list contains 72 shots of varying potency. A few simple rules were created, and a shot card was carried by each member as proof of their shot conquests.

Objective:
To have fun while consuming every shot on the Shot Club shot card (stolen from the Smiling Moose).

Rules:

1. No Shot Club member can be forced to consume shots. However, taunting, strong suggestions, and peer pressure is allowed to influence a Shot Club member's decision to abstain.
2. Shot Club members choose the shot they wish to consume (until such time as a "winner" is proclaimed).
3. Shots must be consumed in the presence of at least two other Shot Club members.
4. Shots must be authenticated by the initials of one other Shot Club member on the Shot Club shot card of the consuming member.
5. Once a shot is selected from the Shot Club shot card, it must be consumed. In the event that the hosting establishment cannot provide the desired shot, the next un-consumed shot on the Shot Club member's Shot Club shot card is automatically selected.
6. If a Shot Club member looses their Shot Club card the shots consumed prior are lost, and the Shot Club member must begin again.
7. Shot Club members cannot purchase their own shots. There are two exceptions to this rule:
   • Shots taken as penalty shots may be purchased by the penalty holder.
   • Shots purchased from a "pool" of money is not audited, therefore a Shot Club member may end up paying for their own shot.
8. Shot Club members must present their Shot Club card at the challenge of another Shot Club member, in the presence of at least one other Shot Club member. However, there is some risk to challenging another Shot Club member:
   • If the challenged Shot Club member fails to present their Shot Club shot card, a penalty shot will be assessed. This penalty can be assessed to a Shot Club member only once per day.
   • If the challenged Shot Club member presents their card, the challenger is assessed a penalty shot. This penalty can be assessed as often as the challenger is stupid enough to keep challenging, but only once per Shot Club member challenged each day.

Winning:

The winner of the Shot Club is the first member to complete the Shot Club shot list. The winner must be recognized by all members of the Shot Club as having completed the Shot Club shot list. The winner can select the remaining shots for incomplete Shot Club members, providing the above rules are still followed.

Standings:
The shot cards were retired before anyone did all 72 on the list. The following list outlines the shots done by the Shot Club members who surrendered their shotcards for this tabulation.
